Dr. Jay (Dr. Sanjay Nigam)
Dr. Jay grew up on the East Coast and attended Muhlenberg College, a small liberal arts school in Allentown, Pennsylvania. After college, he gained valuable experience working in a laboratory for New York Medical College, where he spent two years analyzing data related to surfactant therapy, honing his skills in research and data extrapolation. Following his laboratory work, Dr. Jay earned his dental degree from Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine. After graduation, he served as an active duty dentist in the United States Army, during which he dedicated himself to active duty soldiers and continuing education. He was a regular attendee at Spear Education, where he completed numerous courses in treatment planning, occlusion, endodontics, complex cosmetic cases, and the latest dental materials.
Dr. Jay has also completed extensive training in implant dentistry, including a one-year maxicourse at Loma Linda University. Currently, he pursues implant continuing education in Miami under the mentorship of renowned oral surgeon Dr. Arun Garg. His participation in Implant Seminars has deepened his love for implant dentistry and enhanced his surgical skills with the latest advancements in the field.
He is a proud member of the International Dental Implant Association. After leaving the Army, Dr. Jay worked at a dental office in Tempe, Arizona, before opening his own practice with his wife in Scottsdale. Dr. Jay is passionate about dentistry and dedicated to providing exceptional care to his patients. He is a family man who loves the outdoors, playing pickleball on weekends, and reading inspiring books on self-improvement. He has two daughters who are currently attending the University of Arizona—Bear Down!
Jenna, RDA
Jenna is a Registered Dental Assistant who travels over 80 miles daily to work with Dr. Jay. Since graduating in 2019, she’s been committed to growing in her field through continued education and hands-on experience. Passionate about patient care and always bringing a smile (or a laugh) to the clinic, she balances her fast-paced career with an even busier home life. In 2024, Jenna married her best friend, Tim—in a ceremony officiated by none other than Dr. Jay himself. She’s now a proud mom to two energetic boys (ages 6 and 1), and shares her home with two beloved cats—Kizami and Kia (the one-eyed queen of the house).
Known for her bubbly energy, quick wit, and enough pep to make a can of Red Bull feel under caffeinated, Jenna thrives in chaos and spreads joy wherever she goes!
Susan, Office Manager
Susan is the Office Manager at Apex Implants & Family Dentistry. She moved to the Valley with her family in 2004 and quickly fell in love with the community—and the hiking trails. When she’s not helping patients, you’ll likely find her out on a trail with her two daughters.
Her journey with Dr. Jay began as a patient of his wife’s, Dr. Enna, in 2005. Inspired by their compassion, she joined the team professionally in 2007 and worked alongside them through 2022. Now, she’s thrilled to be back with the same warm-hearted team, doing what she loves most: helping people SMILE!
